Credit Manager

Due to ongoing growth, our client is looking for a Credit Manager to manage all aspects of credit risk, accounts receivable and collections for their divisions in the UK and Europe.
The Credit Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop credit risk framework to identify and manage pre delinquency and in life account changes.
- Delivering high quality credit services to the business units.
- Ownership of the Accounts Receivable ledgers.
- Setting and managing targets for cash collection, DSO and query management.
- Identify risks and issues impacting bad debt from daily activities.
- Suggest and implement policy, process or procedural changes to mitigate risk, drive improvement and ultimately result in stronger financial results.
- Direct line management of a small team, the role holder will be responsible for building, developing and growing a high-performance team.
- Establish priorities and set targets to motivate your teams to deliver against the bad debt targets, goals and objectives.
- Drive monthly ledger review and sign off with finance team and ensure compliance with credit procedures and bad debt policy.
The ideal Credit Manager will need to have/be:
- Experience of setting and managing challenging targets to drive a collections performance.
- Refinement and management of a credit policy and extensive B2B Credit risk assessment.
- A commercial approach to credit collections, ensuring customers are retained wherever possible.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to operate at all levels internally and externally.
- Highly presentable with strong organisational and motivational skills.
- A 'can do’ positive attitude and comfortable 'rolling your sleeves up’.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to continually challenge the status quo and drive a continuous improvement mindset in your team.
- Show an impressive attitude and not only take full responsibility for their duties but are enthusiastic to take on new challenges which will develop their own career.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to operate at all levels internally and externally.

- Build strong and effective working relationships with stakeholders to support the business with customer retention and financial targets.
This is a permanent role that will offer a basic salary of around 40K.
