As the Credit Risk Specialist - Acquisition & InLife Controls, you will provide the framework to implement and monitor various risk controls and processes to ensure the effective management of Credit Risk with BT. 

What you’ll be doing

•    Control Framework Development: create and enhance the Credit Risk control framework; work across the AILR teams to ensure consistent management of risk across BT
•    Risk Assessments: conduct risk assessments to identify potential areas of Credit Risk exposure; implement appropriate controls to mitigate those risks
•    Model Risk Management: implement an effective model risk management framework.  Employ techniques and practices that will identify, measure and mitigate model risks 
•    Provide functional leadership as the regulatory compliance subject matter expert across Credit Risk 
•    Work with the relevant control functions (Financial Services Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal) to ensure we have effective processes in place to identify policy breaches
•    Lead the planning & oversight of key regulatory deliverables in relation to the UK consumer credit portfolio; monitor relevant regulatory developments and changes
•    Support Credit RIsk in establishing and maintaining credit standards to ensure consistent and prudent evaluation of customers’ creditworthiness and affordability
•    Track and monitor deliverables ad provide relevant MI and presentations to allow informed decision making for strategic roadmaps and key initiatives for Credit Risk

 

The Experience you’ll need
•    Experience working in a high-volume Consumer and/or SME Credit Risk environment
•    Experience working cross-functionally to define and improve credit processes and standards
•    Demonstrable experience of regulatory compliance including FCA rules, guidance and handbooks within a Credit Risk environment 
•    Experience presenting findings to a varied audience 
•    Able to use SAS or similar software
