The candidate would be expected to participate in all PAS clinics at Liverpool Womens Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. There is also the opportunity for early pregnancy scanning within the Gynaecology Emergency Department with a focus on the diagnosis and management of Caesarean scar pregnancies and early diagnosis of Placenta Accreta Spectrum disorder. The candidate is expected to actively participate in the PAS service by helping organise the PAS MDTs and help organize delivery planning with the wider team. On the day of the surgery the post-holder will be expected to attend delivery. The successful candidate will join the full on call rota: ST3 -7 on call is currently a full shift on call on 2 in 22 rota, including 2 sets of 4 weekday nights and 2 sets of weekend nights every 22 weeks and 3 sets of daytime weekend duties in 22 weeks. The candidate would also be expected to coordinate and attend surgical management of cases of PAS who are delivering in the Liverpool Womens Hospital on the elective Caesarean Section lists. There is also the opportunity to attend sessions with Histopathology to gain experience in the diagnosis of PAS.
