Are you passionate about supporting women in a holistic, women centered, trauma-informed way, to achieve lasting change?
If you have experience in engaging and building trusting relationships with women – we would love to hear from you.
This exciting role is an opportunity to be part of an innovative project providing holistic, trauma-informed support to women with multiple disadvantage and complex needs, who have become involved in the Criminal Justice System. As a Criminal Justice Keyworker, you will be dynamic, creative and enthusiastic about empowering the women you support.
The post holder will work from the Bristol Women’s Centre as well as performing assertive outreach to women across Bristol, South Gloucestershire and the Bath and North East Somerset, (BaNES) area. We would particularly welcome applicants who have experience of working with women with multiple disadvantages and complex needs that have become involved in the Criminal Justice system as a result of their substance misuse.
It will be a key part of your role to be independent, dynamic and enthusiastic in your approach to joint work with the client and professionals to ensure a woman has the support she needs to empower her to desist from returning to the Criminal Justice System.
Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women’s Centres this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) as it involves access to vulnerable adults and/or children and successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced level Disclosure & Barring Service Check.
