Major Recruitment, on behalf of our esteemed client, are looking for Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CS&A) Engineers at all levels to embark on a 5 - 10-year project. Our client is the UK's leading supplier to the nuclear industry and a growing global force, offering unparalleled experience and specialised knowledge across all aspects of the nuclear life cycle.
As a member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for creating innovative designs for reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry structures. The projects will often involve structures and infrastructure related to cutting-edge mechanical handling equipment and their associated process and electrical systems. Additionally, you may work on standalone civil/structural tasks, including structural inspections, site surveys, and projects both in the UK and internationally. Our client is entrusted with projects throughout their entire lifecycle, offering you the opportunity to engage in projects from initial concept design to engineering, construction, and eventual decommissioning. This involvement in the full project cycle is a unique aspect of our consultancy environment and is what makes our work truly rewarding.
Location: Our client's office is strategically located in Cumbria a key hub for engineering excellence. We understand the importance of work-life balance. This role is offered on a hybrid basis, allowing you to spend 3 days working in our client's well-equipped offices and the other days working from the comfort of your home.
Responsibilities:
Delivering nuclear design work, inspections, and construction site support on projects for a range of public and private sector clients within the UK and overseas. Work encompasses the full lifecycle of a project.
Conducting concept and feasibility studies for multi-discipline design projects.
Performing analysis and design using engineering software such as Tekla and Robot, as well as producing hand calculations.
Preparing calculations, CDM activities, basis of design, material specifications, scopes of work, technical reports, inter-discipline design coordination, and supervision.
Collaborating with technicians in the preparation of Revit models.
Working with integrated multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-profile projects.
Providing technical support to other team members.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Structural Engineering (BEng or MEng).
Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with membership of ICE or IStructE or working toward full membership of ICE or IStructE.Experience Required:
Experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork.
Awareness and experience in using the latest design codes and standards.
