About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Culture Programmes Manager to lead the development and delivery of place based cultural programmes across Salford - enabling local people to work with artists and take part in brilliant art experiences across the City. The role will also support the implementation of the cultural strategy across the City.
Salford City Council (SCC) is in an exciting phase of cultural development and has ambitious plans in place. Reporting directly to the Director of Culture, and under the guidance of the Salford Culture Place Partnership steering group, you will manage the implementation of this programme of work, applying strong planning, operational, administrative, creative, financial and advocacy skills. It will require you to coordinate teams, develop talent development programmes, evaluate and report and maintain clear communication of the project information at all times.
You will also be part of a newly formed team - other roles supporting this work include: a Communications Officer - Salford Culture and Place Partnership; and Operations Officer - Creative and Community Events.
About You
The ideal candidate will be organised and creative, a motivated self-starter that can confidently manage an exciting and varied workload incorporating multiple projects within a wider work. You will be a collaborator, committed to building effective working relationships with stakeholders, including funders, creative partners, artists and communities.
Whilst the roles will be based at SCC, they will work closely with partner organisations to shape, develop, deliver and embed new ways of working across the City.
