SalaryAre you passionate about making a difference in the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable young people? GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Curriculum Leader to drive the English and Maths (KS1-KS4) quality of a local school in Southampton.
About the Role:
- Lead and manage Maths and English departments, including curriculum development and lesson resourcing
- Drive up standards of teaching and learning and pupil progress
- Engage staff in creating and implementing Schemes of Work and Curriculum Intent documents
- Utilize current teaching pedagogy and research across the school
- Support with Curriculum Intent Learning Walks, Book Looks, and appraisals
Ideal Candidate:
- Ability to teach up to GCSE in English and/or Maths (consideration given to other subject specialisms)
- Demonstrated leadership skills and commitment to whole school impact
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using Schools BI data platform
- Ability to engage staff in collaborative curriculum development
- Understanding of Trauma Informed Approach and Nurture philosophy
