Cushion Packers

The Recruitment Co are looking for Cushion Packers, or those with potential to learn, to join our customer located in Billingborough, United Fillings Ltd. They specialise in the manufacturing of quality cushion products for the furniture industry.
This is a temporary to permanent position with a 3-week trial and a further 9 week's working for us, at the end of week 12 you will be given a direct contract.
Packers are expected to work efficiently in a fast-paced, repetitive environment necessary in the production of pillows and cushions with accuracy and speed to achieve company expectations necessary to meet and exceed customer demands.
Responsibilities:
The Packer is responsible for accurately packing various styles of cushions of various weights and dimensions in plastic bags across multiple departments.
This position places a strong significance on effective teamwork, clear communication, sound judgement, safety orientation, achieving and maintaining production efficiency and a dedication to the quality of our product.
All packers play a crucial role in meeting our customer requirements and are expected after initial training to perform with minimal supervision. Packers may be asked to assist with other duties and work in other departments when needed to meet those requirements.
Knowledge and Skills:
Essential skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to read, write and follow directions
• Ability to count and apply basic math skills with or without a calculator
• Ability to work repetitive jobs at a fast pace.

Other:

• Own transport required.
• The business needs of the Company vary on an ongoing basis, and overtime may be required at short notice

• Our busy/peak periods will require substantial overtime including extra working days.
• Lead by Example and challenge everything that is not correct and improve on it.

Shift as a Cushion Packer:
Monday to Thursday - 7am - 16pm
Friday - 7.30am - 13pm
Pay rate as a Cushion Packer:
£10.55 per hour and £13.55 per hour overtime after 37.50 hrs per week.
