Job Position: Customer Quality Coordinator

Candidate:
We are seeking a candidate who is interested in gaining experience in manufacturing and quality, preferably with prior experience in a customer-facing quality/inspection role.

Strong engineering understanding, preferably with knowledge of electrical systems.
Excellent IT skills, particularly with Microsoft suite.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and related documents.
Strong attention to detail. Minimum qualifications: HNC Engineering or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities include:
Corresponding with customers regarding non-conformities, including documenting and logging complaints and ensuring satisfactory resolution.
Initiating the internal corrective action process and involving relevant staff members, while keeping customers informed of progress.
Conducting investigations on failures and determining root causes using 8D & 5Y methodologies.
Entering NCRs into the PIR log on Factory Master and ensuring they are appropriately assigned for resolution.
Conducting product audits and in-process inspections.
Assisting the quality department team with day-to-day operations and activities.
Utilizing Factory Master MRP, Excel, and Word for data input and reports.
Goals and Objectives: Working collaboratively with the Quality team and other departments, the Customer Quality Coordinator will contribute to ensuring that all Wallgate products meet the required standards. This will involve customer liaison, problem resolution, inspection, product/process auditing, and testing when necessary.
Succession Planning: Prospects: This is a newly created role in a growing company within a busy and expanding quality, technical, and compliance department, providing opportunities for career development.
Training: Internal training will be provided during induction and ongoing support. External training will be offered as needed, depending on the candidate's qualifications. This position will offer valuable experience working in a quality team within an engineering/manufacturing environment. The Quality team collaborates with multiple departments, providing exposure to various aspects of the manufacturing business, including production, procurement, and sales.
Probationary Period: A six-month probationary period will be in place. If the company is not satisfied with the candidate's performance during this period, it may be extended with written notice. Satisfactory completion of the probationary period will be confirmed in writing.
Pay: 25,000 - 26,000 annual salary. A Christmas bonus will be provided once qualified, dependent on company and individual performance.
Hours of Work: Full-time: 36 hours per week, with semi-flexible core hours from 10:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday, and from 10:00 to 12:00 on Fridays, with a 16:00 finish every fourth week. Part-time: Minimum of 3 days per week, with at least 2 of those days falling on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
