Customer Quality Co-Ordinator

Primary responsibilities: To support the quality team and work closely with other departments to ensure the needs of the business are met. This includes supporting the maintenance of the ISO9001 QMS quality system and maintaining product and process customer and quality standards.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Corresponding with Customers regarding non-conformities recording and logging customer complaints and seeing them through to a satisfactory conclusion.
• Initiating the internal corrective action process ensuring the relevant members of staff are included and keeping the customers informed of developments within this process.
• Investigation of failures and establishing route causes using 8D & 5Y methodologies.
• Entering NCR's onto the PIR log on Factory Master and ensuring they get to the correct personnel for completion.
• Carrying out Product Audits and In-process Inspection to SOP's.
• Inspecting products at Goods Inwards and In Process to ensure product quality is maintained. This may require electrical testing where required.
• Assisting the quality dept team with the day-to-day running of the department and its activities.
• Use of Factory Master MRP and Excel and Word for data input and reports..
• Assisting in driving down the cost of poor quality (COPQ) and satisfying KPI targets.

Secondary responsibilities include:

• Promotion of the quality process within the company
• Assist with project work and New Product Introduction and work related to quality/product/process improvements and cost reduction where required.
• Taking customer warranty calls and e-mails and raising warranty paperwork.
• Updating warranty information on Factory Master
• Assisting the quality department in the activities to ensure ongoing compliance of the QMS to ISO9001:2015 and supporting other compliance requirements as needed.
