JOB TITLE: Customer Service Administrator
JOB LOCATION: Peterborough
JOB TYPE: Temporary to start with
JOB HOURS: 8am - 4.30pm with a 30-min lunch break, Mon to Fri
JOB SALARY: Equivalent to £23795 per year
JOB START: asap, definitely before the end of February
JOB NOTES: Once established in this role and confident on IT systems, you will be able to work from home up to 2 days per week if you want to
Your new company
Our client is a business that you've probably not heard of, but I bet you will know their products! They manufacture locally and the Peterborough site is their main hub for Customer Service and as the business is so busy, they have partnered with Hays to recruit an additional person to the team on a temporary basis, but the last temp we found them ended up being offered a permanent position in the team so you never know where this might lead.
Your new role
Your job will be to make sure that customers get what they need when they need it in a smooth and efficient way. You'll respond to customer queries regarding orders and deliveries by email, telephone and via their key client portals. You'll be the communication link between customers, your colleagues in distribution and your colleagues in the accounts dept. You will input info on to their system including order and delivery information.
What you'll need to succeed
Obviously, communication and people skills are the most important things for someone to be successful in this job. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to your work are also some of the things that my client is looking for.
If you've worked in a distribution or depot facility before or had some exposure to supply chain operations, your application will be fast-tracked but this isn't essential.

There's a fair starting salary on offer and the opportunity to work from home 2 days per week if you wanted to (although you don't have to). There's loads of parking on site and it's only a short walk from the nearest bus-stop if you wanted to leave the car at home.
