Monday to Friday 8:30am 5:30pm
+ required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays 9am 4pm + some bank holidays 9am - 2pm
Pearson Whiffin are recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join one of our manufacturing clients on a full time permanent basis.
This role would best suit somebody who has previous Customer Service experience and a technical understanding/knowledge, however an aptitude to learn the technical elements of the role is most important!
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to work 1 in 3 Saturdays, as well as some bank holidays (double pay/day off in lieu for BHs), so flexibility is essential.
Duties include:
- Speaking with customers on the phone and via email regarding breakdowns.
- Giving technical advice to customers and troubleshooting issues before sending an engineer out to their home.
- Asking customers the right questions to assess situations on a case by case basis and decide whether it is appropriate to send an engineer out.
- Working closely with the planning team, providing them with accurate and concise information so that they can send engineers out for maintenance and repair work, where appropriate.
- Following up with customers to ensure that work has been completed and the issue has been resolved.
- Booking service appointments.
- Checking engineer reports.
- Ensuring all contact from customers is logged and updated on the database.
- Ensure that all paperwork is compliant and completed.
- Always delivering a high level of Customer Service.
To be considered for this role, you must have/be:
- Previous Customer Service experience within an office environment.
- Previous experience within technical Customer Service role (highly desirable).
- A good knowledge of technical products would be a significant advantage, however an aptitude to learn the technical elements of the role is most important.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Competent using IT (Microsoft Office, Excel, CRMs etc).
- Strong problem solving skills and proactive.
- Flexibility; you will be required to work every 3rd Saturday 9am 4pm as well as some bank holidays. For hours worked on a BH you receive double pay and a day off in lieu.
- Your own car and transport are needed due to limited public transport.
