We are looking for a Customer Service Manager to join our Peterborough based client supporting a really busy customer support team on a 6 month fixed term contract.
This role plays a critical part for the business, the key purpose of the Customer Service Manager is to deliver industry leading Customer Service through daily leadership and management of the UK & Export Customer Service teams. Ensuring professional & efficient communication with customers and delivering strong internal relationships across logistics, commercial, and supply. The role will provide guidance, support and challenge to the Customer Service team, as well as ensure robust processes, high order accuracy and own business CSI reporting.
The successful candidate must have:
- Experience in Customer Service management within the FMCG industry essential
- Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating a team to deliver great service
- Strong coaching and people development skills - including ability to have difficult conversations
- Strong communication skills, specifically influencing internal cross functional teams and external customers
- Ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage large amounts of data, summarising complex detailed information in a simple effective way
- High level of numerical ability
- Highly computer literate - ability to build spread sheets and navigate customer portals
- Knowledge of:
- Customer Service best practice
- FMCG Sector
- Retailer Processes - experience of ERP systems preferred

Hours of work: 8:45-17:00 Monday-Thursday, 08:45-16:45 Fridays.
It is hybrid working 2 days in the office and 3 from home.
