Customer Service & Purchasing Administrator
Job Location: Poole, Dorset
Job Type: Contract
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum / £12.82 - £13.84 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Monday – Friday 8.00am - 4.45pm with a 12.30pm finish on a Friday
We have a new opening for a specialist engineering company for a Customer Service & Purchasing Administrator to join their team based in Poole on an ongoing contract.
This company has a great reputation within thin their industry and due to an internal promotion, they have a need for aCustomer Service & Purchasing Administratorto help them.
Within this role you will be delivering excellent Customer Service along with managing relationships with suppliers. You will be responding to customer queries, processing orders, keeping the customer up to date on the progress of the order, raising PO’s, managing supplier orders and raising invoices.
Key duties will include;
- Processing customer orders and enquiries
- Progress customer orders through manufacturing and providing the customer with regular updates
- Preparing shipments for packing and ensuring the workflow is prioritised
- Maintaining internal database with all quotations, orders, price lists etc
- Answering telephone queries and directing to the relevant department
- Raising purchase orders
- Liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, customers and internal departments
- Assisting the Purchasing Manager in researching the best products
The successful candidate will possess;
- Previous experience within a Customer Service & Purchasing role
- Experience of working in a manufacturing / engineering environment
- PC literate with experience of using Excel, Word and any ERP/MRP system
