The Opportunity/Role
Reporting to the Customer Service Manager (Order Entry), you will provide a dedicated first point of contact for our customers, facilitating a high standard of customer service, in line with customer expectations such as: through the building, developing and balancing of excellent working and commercially effective relationships with customers, and managing the sales order process from receipt to delivery. This will include processing and coordinating orders received and handling customer enquires/discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Process and co-ordinate orders received via telephone, fax and electronic (EDI) and amend where necessary.
Professionally handle all enquiries received regarding delivery dates and stock availability, managing customers’ expectations as appropriate.
Liaise with Account Service Managers to arrange where necessary any specific orders that require preferential treatment in order to meet specific delivery deadlines.
Deal with all customer discrepancies in a timely manner to ensure that replacements and credits are issued accordingly.
Liaise with production and transport personnel to source product availability and distribution requirements.
Requirements:
Customer service experience in a manufacturing background and/or a business-to -business environment
Able to communicate clearly – both verbally and written. Excellent orator and scribe
Very high service orientation displayed consistently. Able to achieve consistent customer service excellence irrespective of the situation.
Ability to create and maintain excellent working relationships with key contacts internally & externally
Proficient MS Office and ERP skills
