Job description

Are you a motivated and enthusiastic individual with an aptitude and keen interest in technology looking for the next step in your IT career?

About Us:

Our authority provides high quality public services to over a million customers. With IT investment of more than £45 million a year we are as business-like, efficient, and successful as any private sector company and have a national reputation for IT excellence, innovation, and value.

The Role:

Your role will be working in a development and support team, who are involved in Mendix development, SAP C4C, SAP Marketing Cloud, Team Support integrations, and other information development projects, which include implementing new technologies for Hampshire County Council.

The focus of the role is application development and support of the Mendix platform. Mendix is an industry leading, all-in-one, low-code application development platform that helps build multi-experience, enterprise grade applications at scale. The platform is designed to accelerate the entire development lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and operation, while enabling collaboration at each step.

A key area of the role is to support the continuous development of new applications within our Mendix platform, and associated technologies. This will include troubleshooting issues, testing enhancements; as well as working closely with the other Mendix developers and the platform lead.

The role will also assist in implementing new projects, working closely with our testing team to directly resolve bugs in the processes you develop, and support the ‘go-live’ of new projects. You will also be expected to be involved with wider development platforms and technologies as required.

The role also will also involve configuring, administering, and supporting a Marketing and Customer Relationship Management system. You will work with customers to help configure the systems to implement their business requirements and provide third level support for support incidents.

You will have expert support and advice from your colleagues; and full training in the platforms will be provided.

Your Skills:

You will have experience of working in an IT application environment and resolving identified issues. You will be familiar with a variety of standard desktop and server applications; and be prepared to enhance that knowledge with a detailed understanding of new systems. You will be a self-starter, willing to take the initiative, with good analytical skills, and strong communication skills. Experience of working in a structured development team; where you have had to manage workloads and understanding business requirements is essential.

You will be able to absorb information quickly and understand new technologies/solutions. You will be willing to learn, be determined and adaptable with excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both oral and written, together with the ability to identify, analyse and solve problems in a logical and effective way.

Above all, you will share our passion for bringing to life the smartest solutions to the toughest challenges.

We support an effective work life balance and are open to discussing flexible work requests – We welcome both full and part time applications for this role.

We offer a flexible, motivating and inclusive workplace, where talent is truly recognised and developed.
