Job description

We are looking for a Customer & Underwriter Support Assistant who will not only work on our day-to-day lending operations requirements. This role is involved with providing support via telephone and email answering queries and escalating matters, if required. This service is provided to our underwriters, finance brokers and end user customers. The role involves running reports and providing credit information to underwriters, following up with brokers and customers for information and resolving queries along with some customer credit analysis. Training will be provided on underwriting credit applications and on both our systems, processes and documents. You will need to have strong numerical, process and systems skills, be accurate and have an attention to detail while sometimes working under pressure. You will be expected to have a commercial outlook combined with good communication skills (both verbal and written).

This role reports to the Business Operations Director. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, motivated and flexible.  Suitable candidates should have strong communication skills and confident in dealing with our own staff, brokers and end user customers with a good telephone manner, problem solving abilities and sound commercial acumen. An exposure to digital systems in financial services, processes and documentation would be an advantage, strong Excel and Word skills are required to perform this role.

 Key Tasks
Underwriting
• Support Underwriters by producing credit check reports.
• Input on credit decisions.
• Ensure that final financing documents agree with finance proposals.
• Checking lease documents and ensuring customer data on systems are complete and accurate.
• Producing ad hoc management reports from the system and in Excel
Customer Service & General Administration
• Responding to customer on questions on the phone and providing copy documentation
• Producing new customer welcome letters on finance agreement set up.
• Scanning documentation and uploading onto systems
• Processing ad hoc customer queries.
• Assist with processing documents for financing.
• General office and systems support functions.
• Producing ad hoc reports

• An exposure to finance agreements and documentation.

Other Information
• The role is office based.
• Office hours are 9am to 5:30pm
• 23 days holiday (3 days taken over Christmas and New Year)
• The company has a discretional bonus scheme based on profitability paid in December and June each year (after 12 months service).
