An international logistics company in Liverpool are currently seeking a Customs Administrator's to join their expanding team. The purpose of the role is to clear goods in a timely manner both in and out of the UK by following the correct customs formalities. On offer is a basic salary of £24,000 working Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm.
The main duties of a Customs Administrator are:
- Printing shipping documents and creating correct files
- Issue consignment reference numbers for duty management shipments
- Obtain UCN for cargo (DESTIN8 & CNS)
- Creating simplified frontier declaration or full customs entry
- Create supplementary and export entry
- Check and examine pending clearances
- Management of special procedures such as IPR, end use and specialised CPC codes
- Overseeing the transit of documents allowing goods to move through different countries to end destination
- Managing client relationships associated with dedicated accounts
- Maintenance of customs warehouse records
- Processing invoices when required
- You must have administration experience.
- Customs experience would be beneficial but not essential.
- Possess a good level of computer skills particularly on Excel.
