Cyber security is an ever-increasing risk to manage for business. As an organisation with access to sensitive information, ‘Safeguarding’ our clients' data and our systems is imperative. We are now seeking a Senior Cyber security Analyst to assess, recommend and oversee our response to Cyber Security. Reporting to the IT Director, you will mentor one engineer and work closely with the wider IT Infrastructure team. As a newly created role where you will be deemed the ‘expert’ on site, your own observations and recommendations will shape the nature of your role.
We recognise talent comes in many forms, but it is likely as an experienced analyst with a Cyber security bias to your knowledge your experience will have covered ISO27001 and Cyber Essential plus criteria. With professional certification in CompTIA – Security+ and an understanding of Microsoft (Azure) cloud infrastructure. (Intune, MS Defender, SIEM etc.) Physical and Software security tools, (Firewalls, Anti-Virus, Malware, Routers, VPN, Vulnerability scanning technologies) alongside a broader knowledge of Microsoft led infrastructure (BYOD, Domain Management, Azure configuration, Windows Server and Client-side Technologies). An appreciation of ITIL framework will also be of benefit.
The role will see you covering a variety of projects and BAU requirements. Your initial assessment of threats and weaknesses to the company’s infrastructure will be the foundation stone for future projects.
Expect to be a visible member of the team. In addition to mentoring a younger member of the team, you will also be expected to be a strong communicator able to convey technical subject matter in a way that enables the wider team and key departments to work with your vision of security for the organisation.
