WHAT TO EXPECT
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and enthusiastic Cyber Security Engineering Manager to join our central Vehicle Cyber Security Chapter.
Cyber Security is a fast paced and dynamic area of the automotive industry. You will be a critical part of the team, directly supporting the development of our Autonomous, Connected, Electric and Shared future to ensure we are robust to emerging security threats, as well as supporting legislation and standards such as UNECE.R155 and ISO21434.
The Chapter provides Cyber Security expertise and leadership in a range of areas relating to JLR vehicles as well as supporting infrastructure, and forms part of the Digital Product Platform department (DPP) within JLR’s product engineering function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing a team of skilled Cyber Security engineers, who are responsible for the creation of Cyber Security engineering artefacts in support of JLR’s products and onboard features.
- Engage with Cyber Security experts, product owners, and stakeholders across the business to drive the secure development of JLR products, in line with JLR’s overall Cyber Security strategy.
- Ensure compliance with JLR’s Cyber Security Management System (CSMS), and in turn legislation and regulations such as UNECE R155.
- Develop and grow the team, including providing training and support to engineers, and ongoing recruitment, as part of a Cyber Security Chapter.
- Drive continuous improvement, helping to ensure ongoing alignment to legislation, standards and best practices.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- Practical experience in the development and application of Cyber Security critical products, in an embedded environment.
- A demonstrable knowledge of high integrity systems, and secure software and / or hardware design principles.
- Previous line management responsibilities for a team of small to medium sized teams
- Used to working in a structured environment (CSMS, ISMS, QMS etc).
- Qualification in Cyber Security, or equivalent experience.
