Junior Cyber Security Analyst

The role
We are looking for a Junior Cyber Security Analyst to support our Information Security team in implementing and maintaining a robust cybersecurity framework aligned with the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) Cybersecurity Framework. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's information systems and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.
Responsibilities include:
1. Security Monitoring and Incident Response:

• Monitor security alerts and incidents; participate in incident response activities.
• Analyze and investigate security events to identify and mitigate potential threats.

2. Vulnerability Management:

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and analyze scan results.
• Work with system owners to remediate identified vulnerabilities in a timely manner.

3. Security Awareness and Training:

• Assist in the development and delivery of cybersecurity awareness programs.
• Provide guidance to employees on security best practices and policies.

4. Security Policy Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to validate compliance.

5. Security Tools Management:

• Assist in the management and configuration of security tools and technologies.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging threats to enhance security measures.

6. Collaboration and Documentation:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance overall security posture.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security processes and procedures.

Skills required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and vulnerability scanners.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and systems architecture.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
