Your new role
The Cybersecurity Engineer role is a technical position which requires an extensive knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, Microsoft Hyper-V/Azure/365, server and storage hardware, and a good working understanding of networking technologies.
The role is focused on security aspects of the business, working closely with the Security Architect to ensure all systems (old and new) are adequately protected through patching, permissions, and policies etc.
The post holder will also be responsible to the Security Manager, for the efficient and effective support of Information Technology and Computerised systems and services.
Your main duties

• Assist the Cybersecurity Architect in managing the Privileged Access Management Solution (Osirium) and extend coverage by integrating with different systems.
• Assist the Cybersecurity Architect in managing the Security Information and Event Management system and extend coverage by integrating with different systems.
• Review and manage cloud security.
• Research, create, implement and develop cybersecurity improvements.
• Maintain safe, secure, and resilient systems.
• Work closely with the Cybersecurity Architect, the Systems Architect, Server team and Network team to implement security within new and existing systems.
• Manage a number of professional third parties such as Dell, Microsoft, Cisco, etc. to deliver appropriate technical solution. This may be using on-site or off-site resources.
• Arrange regular penetration tests and vulnerability assessments of systems to ensure security compliance.
• Work with the server team and network team to manage IT patching schedule.
• Ensure that appropriate information security and cyber risk products and services are procured and managed.
• Working closely with project management team to ensure security concerns and issues are addressed throughout the lifecycle of a project.
• Working with other teams to complete risk assessments for new and existing systems and service.
