Cyber Security Resilience Manager
Location: Glasgow - hybrid working
Salary: £62-£78K (up to 20% Performance Bonus, Healthcare & Car Allowance)
Permanent, Full Time

You'll integrate into an ambitious global Cyber Security function, contributing to the Customer Business's Cyber Security posture, and ensuring the protection of our systems and data against cyber threats. The Cyber Resilience Manager supports the Head BISO in all aspects of risk management and assurance, providing a leading role in the Customer Business's Cyber Security function program to reduce risk, achieve compliance, and deliver a cyber-resilient business.

What you'll be doing

The Cyber Risk & Resiliency Manager will provide expert guidance on modern applications, application redundancy arrangements, and application resiliency, enhancing security risk management, security controls, and compliance requirements. 

You'll lead the development and maintenance of our Risk and Resiliency Strategy, delivering a program of resiliency improvements and resiliency testing activities, preventing Cyber-attacks, and ensuring systems can continue to function during an incident.

A key part of this role will be leading the delivery program, to detect and mitigate threats, and performing independent testing activities to assess the operating effectiveness of key resiliency controls. You'll be accountable for the compliance position of the organisation against regulatory requirements and internal policies and standards, overseeing and challenging the appropriateness of risk treatment plans and outcomes from security programs. 

Promoting innovation and application of emerging technologies, you'll keep abreast of industry and technology change, including networking with industry and IT peers to ensure Customer Business applications adopt best practices and provide best value Risk and Resiliency solutions.

Other aspects of the role include carrying out independent reporting of organisational risk, management of internal and external dependencies, budgets of up to £2m per annum and management of 3rd party vendors at a senior level.

You'll be responsible for incident response preparedness across 12 departments, owning incident management practices including playbook creations, testing, tabletop exercises, and interdepartmental incident simulations involving the processes and measures put in place to restore and recover data, systems, and services after a cyber incident.

  • Experience in designing Cyber Resilience strategies

  • Technical knowledge across;

    • Application redundancy

    • Threat Assessment 

    • Information Risk assessment & Risk Management 

    • Incident Management

    • Disaster Recovery Testing

  • Expert knowledge of configuring and supporting security tools and managing activities relating to the management of resilience.

  • Expert knowledge of implementing resilient IT controls, disaster recovery, alerting, and availability.

  • Ability to use metrics and work with senior stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of external and internal compliance requirements that impact an IT function.
