Cyber Security Specialist

Due to a restructuring project, we are currently looking to recruit a Cyber Security Specialist to join the team at Hoist Finance. The Cyber Security Specialist will be operating at the forefront of our efforts to protect the business, ensuring that the overall Cyber Security Operations program enables us to detect, respond to and recover from cyber attacks.

As a Cyber Security Specialist you will need the following skills:

• Detailed understanding of Security Operations methods, tools and techniques
• Able to identify threats, patterns and trends
• Expert knowledge of current cyber threat actor tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) as per the MITRE Att&ck framework
• Cyber Threat Intelligence
• High level system and network administrative knowledge
• Demonstrable experience of hypothesis–led cyber threat hunts that have led to improved detection and response capabilities

On a daily basis you will be:

• Undertaking advanced threat hunting activities and incorporating their findings into new detection methods
• Using Threat intelligence and your own knowledge of TTPs to form hypothesis
• Working with SIEM and EDR products
• Documenting hypothesis–led cyber threat hunts
• Dealing with Critical incident response and management
• Developing new proactive monitoring use cases
