The Opportunity
In this varied role, you will help ensure the smooth running of the Cyber Security Team by providing valuable and efficient administration support, working with all members of the team and a variety of stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to train and develop yourself in Cyber Security and delivery management.
This role most closely aligns to the 'Support' role in the Government Security Profession (GSP) framework.
- provide administrative and business support to the team including but not limited to; secretariat function (agenda/minutes/actions), stakeholder meetings, room bookings, document management, security clearance
- act as first point of contact for the Cyber team, answering general enquiries, managing the Cyber Security Team mailboxes and team calendar
- collating information for reporting purposes, generating standard bulletins or reports at set intervals, as well as performing simple analysis tasks
- scheduling, coordinating and booking activities such as team days, events and workshops
- support the management of the team's offices, including but not limited to maintaining inventory and monitoring lifecycle of Cyber Security equipment; monitoring access control; coordinating office moves
- financial support: liaising with contractors and suppliers, raising purchase orders, tracking spend
- support with information and records management of SharePoint libraries and MS Teams sites, in accordance with Parliament's information management standards
- where required, support with the delivery of Cyber Security initiatives
What You Need
- excellent administrative skills with experience of providing administrative support and carrying out administrative processes and procedures within a busy, time-critical team
- excellent organisational skills with a methodical approach to prioritising work to meet changing and conflicting deadlines
- knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite which includes Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- good communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively and both verbally and in writing
- ability to contribute and work effectively within a team, supporting a diverse and inclusive environment, with flexibility and a willingness to learn
- the ability to pass security clearance, backed by the right to work in the UK

Protect the UK's democratic process working as part of Parliament's Cyber Security Team. The Cyber threat to Parliament is a challenging one to meet, balancing security and transparency whilst protecting some very high-profile targets. The Cyber Security Team must remain switched on to geopolitical and domestic activity to protect its people, data and technology.
