We are on the lookout for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our IT team. You will be responsible for implementing best practice and security technologies to meet compliance legislation and keep our network protected at all times.
Working closely with the IT Infrastructure team, Applications Teams and IT Helpdesk, you will be instrumental in the provision and support of security for all IT infrastructure, servers, network and communications equipment.
Key responsibilities:
- To design, implement and manage key security perimeter, cloud and internal security solutions.
- Ensuring the implementation of best practice security technologies to meet compliance legislation and minimise Cybersecurity risk.
- Being the subject matter expert for all Cybersecurity governance, supporting relevant IT projects and initiatives.
- Being responsible for the security design of all Yeo Valley’s IT infrastructure, including servers, network and communications equipment, working with the relevant teams to ensure implementation and ongoing management.
- Contributing to activities to ensure all IT systems are maintained, secure, updated and that effective preventative maintenance is carried out and that restoration of systems is tested and documented.
- Supporting the architecture of present and future improvements to Yeo Valley’s IT systems and data centre.
- Recruiting, supporting, developing and coaching the in-house cybersecurity team ensuring the correct levels of skill and experience.
- Ensuring high levels of IT service within Yeo Valley including acting as a point of escalation for the Support and Technical teams.
- Overseeing and supporting the implementation and testing of business continuity, high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
- Supporting the maintenance of relevant IT policies and strategies including the IT Usage Policy, Cybersecurity and Cloud Strategy.
- Regularly reporting on performance, and methods of improvement to IT Cybersecurity.
- Managing third party providers to ensure new purchases and renewals are cost effective and that the providers meet Service Level Agreements.
- Preparing and managing the Cybersecurity components of the IT revenue budget and supporting monthly Profit & Loss tracking and review.
- Acting as Technical lead on all Cybersecurity services and liaising with key stakeholders to ensure that correct service provision is implemented and supported in line with stakeholder requirements.
- Working closely with the Infrastructure Lead and Support Team Lead to ensure changes and incidents are managed effectively.
