Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Asset Support & Outage Team Leader you will:
- Working with the site teams on outage, managing a scope of work and ensuring it is completed in a timely manner.
- Managing your own scope of work, this will include working on Electrical equipment such as High Voltage switchgear, generators, transformers, rotating plant motors etc.
- Acting as the technical authority in relation to design standards, codes of practice and legislation.
- The execution of site electrical projects safely and within budget.
- Developing asset management strategies.
- Identifying areas of improvement across the plant to increase efficiency.
- Ensure maintenance plans and targets for the team are achieved safely, on time and within budget and to the correct quality within the environmental limits of the station.
- Directing and supervising on site contractors.
- Ensuring HSE compliance at all times.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A degree in Electrical Engineer or equivalent
- Have previous experience in Electrical maintenance or engineering in a heavy process environment.
- Significant experience working with High Voltage equipment including generators and transformers (essential)
- A Safety qualification such as IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent
