The Cycle Training team, part of KCC's Active Travel Group, are looking to recruit to the position of Cycle Training Organiser. The Cycle Training team deliver Bikeability training to over 4000 children per year as well as delivering adult Cycle Training courses across the County.

The role is for up to 4 days work per week, Monday to Thursday and forms part of a job share. Candidates will be able to utilise hybrid working with a mixture of working from home and the office. The office base will be Invicta House in Maidstone with the option of utilising other offices.

As a Cycle Training Organiser you will be responsible for the organisation and administration of the delivery of National Standard Cycle Training (Bikeability) by liaising with customers, cycle instructors and other stakeholders.

The main duties include:

  • To manage the organisation and administration of Kent County Councils Cycle Training services.
  • To liaise with staff and customers to provide high-quality customer focused services, ensuring that courses are always well organised and administered.
  • Support and participate in the invoicing of schools and other customers for the services provided.
  • To complete and report accurate records to the defined standard. To ensure that all appropriate course administration is completed to the highest possible standard.
  • Develop and maintain all office systems, including the database and filing systems, both computerised and manual, ensuring that the storage and retrieval of documents is undertaken in a logical and consistent manner, in line with the County's Record Retention Policy, data protection and freedom of information protocols.

The successful candidate will have experience of organising and administering customer focused services and of administering online reporting systems. As a proven team player, you will be able to deliver excellent customer service and achieve the best outcomes for our schools and the team.
