We are recruiting for an experienced Data Analyst to join our client, a non for profit organisation based in Windsor linked to the medical sector.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate with proven experience working in data analysis or a related field, with experience of using R or Python.
This role is hybrid - 3 days from home and 2 working days working from the office in Windsor. Salary is £30k - £33k plus excellent benefits.
Duties include
- Support the registration process of new hospitals and national societies onto the Registries
- Manage the ongoing maintenance of the hospital and national societies once added onto the Registries
- Support the onboarding of new users / Hospital Data Managers and any training needs they might have in relation to how to use the ACD and the EUROMACS Registry
- Support the collection, cleaning and analysis of data from hospitals and national societies across Europe
- Work with the Scientific Lead to map the data provided by hospitals and other national societies into the format required by the ACD, sometimes translating terminology from non English languages. This will require experience of using Azure Synapse / data factory
- Work with Hospital Data Managers and the Chief Hospital Surgeon on the completeness of their data and any subsequent errors or outliers identified
- Work with Scientific Lead to perform data extractions for scientific proposals
- Generate annual and centre reports
- Carry out timely follow-ups to the different participating centres
- Chase centres with overdue follow-up and backlogs of data to be uploaded
- Produce / support the publication of regular statistics and reports on the QUIP Registries including ad-hoc report requirements for hospitals
- Run reports tracking hospital participation and Registry usage reports
- Occasional updates of the CMS used by the Registries
Skills/Experience
- Proven experience using either R or Python
- Good communication skills
- Ability to coordinate projects
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Proven experience working with Azure Data Factory and/ or Azure Synapse Analytics
- Proven experience working in data analysis or a related field
- Previous work experience in the medical field
- A bachelor's degree in fields such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or a related field would be highly desirable
- A master's degree or specialised certification in data analytics or a related field
