With brands like Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland, our Group is the largest digital bank in the UK. And with it comes some of the biggest data resources of any company in the country.
As an apprentice, you can help us harness its power. All while gaining the skills and experience you need to become a qualified Data Analyst.
The essentials
Salary: £24,539 - £33,589 plus a great range of benefits
Locations: Edinburgh, Leeds, Bristol
Hours: 35 hours per week
Working pattern: At least two days per week at one of our office sites (so you’ll need to be able to commute to one of the locations above)
Starting: September 2024
What you’ll be doing
As part of the team here, you'll learn how to find the meaning behind the numbers. Whether it's to help make lending decisions, to manage and understand our business performance, or to help share compelling stories and information about the business in a visually interesting way.
You’ll dedicate 20% of your time to learning. This might include workshops, job shadowing, reading or completing assignments. For the other 80%, you'll be applying what you've learned to your work, supported by your manager every step of the way.
From data extraction to learning statistical programming languages to creating great data products, you’ll cover all the fundamentals of data analysis and how to communicate the stories within it. Meaning after around 18 months, you’ll know how to extract, manipulate, model, visualise and present data to provide useful insights into our business.
What you’ll get
Over the 18 months, you’ll work towards a Level 4 Data Analytics Apprenticeship. Show us you have what it takes at this stage, and we'll help you move on to a Level 6 qualification. Which may mean, you'll be fully qualified and ready for whatever exciting opportunities the future may bring.
You’ll also get a salary, excellent benefits, all the support you need to help you complete your qualifications and a career that’s full of possibilities.
What you’ll need
If you live in England or Wales:
- GCSEs in English and Maths at grades 4 or above (or equivalent). If you don’t have these, you’ll need to complete a Maths and English qualification alongside your apprenticeship.
- One or more A-Levels in a STEM subject at grade C or above.
If you live in Scotland:
- National 5 qualifications in English and Maths at grades 1 or above (or equivalent). If you don’t have these, you’ll need to complete a Maths and English qualification alongside your apprenticeship.
- One or more Higher qualifications in a STEM subject at grade C or above.
It’s not just about exam results, however. We’re also looking for passion, personality, great team working skills and an eagerness to learn too. If you’re a problems solver with an analytical mind and an interest in numbers, this could be the perfect opportunity.
