2-years fixed term The Opportunity: The CAMARADES research group are looking for a Data Analyst to work on developing systematic online living evidence summaries of data from published biomedical research. This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working. The successful candidate will work to establish, test, and further develop a pipeline of automated tools to collect, curate, and visualise evidence from scientific research articles across different domains. As part of this work, the candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills using natural language processing to extract key information from scientific texts. Your skills and attributes for success: Strong data wrangling, functional programming, and data visualisation skills in R Ability to build complex, reactive web dashboards in R shiny Expertise reading, writing, updating, and managing data held in SQL databases Strong motivation to develop skills (including in other programming languages) and learn new approaches Able to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues with working across different disciplines
