SalaryWestcon-Comstor is looking for a passionate Data Analyst with the ability to analyse large data sets and extract relevant information for our sales team to generate new opportunities. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions.
The Data Analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analyses to include requirements, activities, design, build and QA. You will develop analysis and reporting capabilities and will focus on data accuracy, completeness, uniqueness, and consistency; you will monitor performance and quality control plans to identify improvements; and you will rapidly prototype analytics models aligned to business challenges.
This role is hybrid based at one of our offices in Europe. (NOT fully remote)

- Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
- Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
- Understand and document business data integration requirements, including complex integrations between on-prem and cloud-based applications; translate requirements into technical designs & data solutions
- Perform data discovery, researching internal and external data sources, metadata, integration possibilities and challenges
- Perform ad hoc data quality checks and QA checks prior to deployment
- Participate in regular meetings and ongoing communications with business stakeholders, IT, BI and analytics teams
- Identify & suggest key areas to improve DQ for customer, contact, product and pricing domains
- Ability to package up datasets based on specific topics that can be used by sales teams and partners to generate opportunities.
- Understanding of data management concepts and best practices; previous hands-on data management/operation and data quality experiences preferred.
- Technically curious and savvy; willing and able to learn new technologies and tools in short period of time.
- Organized, detail oriented and process driven - strong analytical skills with the tenacity to drill down to details and the discipline to follow established processes.
- Effective communicator - ability to explain complex concepts in plain language; ability to translate business requirements to technology and convey technical concepts to business.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, rapidly changing requirement.
- Degree level with some previous experience / internship as a Data Analyst, Business Data Analyst or Data Quality Analyst
