Key roles and responsibilities for the Data Analyst:
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their specific requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines, ensuring the timely and accurate extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data into our data warehouse.
- Develop visually compelling and interactive data visualisations using tools such as Power BI to uncover valuable insights and present them in a user-friendly manner.
- Empower business users by assisting them in creating their own self-service analysis capabilities, enabling them to explore data and derive meaningful conclusions independently.
- Utilise advanced analytical techniques to uncover hidden patterns, trends, and actionable insightswithin the available data.
- Continuously monitor data quality and integrity, proactively identifying and addressing any issues oranomalies.
- Develop and maintain SharePoint websites and applications in collaboration with the functions and business leaders as well as extending SharePoint functionality with forms.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in business analytics and data visualisation, incorporating innovative approaches into the team's practices.
- Leading the conversation with the data analytics community, building awareness and knowledge in the business of what they can achieve with the tools available to them
- Provide relevant trainings on the different platforms to key stakeholders and internal customers.
What we're looking for in the ideal Data Analyst:
- Bachelor's degree in the business information management, computer science, or a comparable course of studies
- 5 + years of related work experience
- English language preferred
- Power BI Expertise: Experience working with Power BI. Strong knowledge of Power Query, DAX
- (Data Analysis Expressions) and creating interactive visualizations and dashboards.
- SQL and Database Skills: Strong SQL skills to query, manipulate, and join data from various databases and data sources.
- SharePoint developments; designing, coding, and implementing scalable applications
- Data Visualisation and Reporting: Strong skills in creating visually appealing and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI. Knowledge of best practices for data visualisation, including effective chart selection, use of filters, drill-through functionality, and creating actionable insights.
- Performance Optimization: Understanding of Power BI performance optimization techniques, such as data modelling optimisations, query optimisation, and efficient data loading strategies. Ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Data Governance and Security: Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices for ensuring data security, access controls, and compliance within Power BI. Understanding of row-level security (RLS) and implementing role-based access controls (RBAC) in Power BI.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other members or the data team and business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and deliver effective Power BI solutions. Strong communication skills to present complex data insights in a clear and understandable manner.
- Finance literate with prior experience to provide and develop finance business reporting.

- Salary: £42,000 - £ 54,000 plus potential 8% bonus
- Hybrid - 2 days in office (On completion of probation)
