We are seeking a Data Analyst (Quality) to join our Strategy, Insights & Data team. The Data Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability and integrity across the reporting and insights portfolio at The FA.
The role will report to the Data Lead and will work closely with business stakeholders and Digital Technology (DTE).

What will you be doing?

  • Engage with stakeholders across the business divisions to identify major pain points and bottlenecks on data quality, and ensure that they are prioritised appropriately
  • Support the Central Data Team to establish and embed data quality standards, policies and procedures across The FA's reporting and insights portfolio such as a business data catalogue
  • Manage, govern and curate data across The FA using Microsoft Purview
  • Develop and maintain data quality reports to identify, monitor and communicate data quality KPIs and metrics
  • Set up and manage meetings with data owners and data stewards across business divisions to identify and resolve data quality issues, and share best practice to inspire and drive opportunities in data management
  • Maintain a comprehensive documentation of data quality rules, processes and procedures
  • Provide training and support to promote and embed a data quality mindset across the organisation
  • Stay up to date with best practice and latest trends
  • Execute additional tasks as required in order to meet The FA Group's changing priorities
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics) or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a data driven organisation
  • Keen interest in driving a high standard of data quality
  • Good understanding of data quality concepts, methodologies, frameworks and best practices
  • Experience in using Microsoft Purview and other data quality tools
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
  • A self starter that is able to bring ideas and initiatives to life

Our Organisation

The Football Association [The FA] is the not-for-profit governing body of football in England. It is responsible for promoting and developing every level of the game, from grassroots through to the professional game, and generates significant revenue to support investment into English football each year.

The FA oversees England international teams across men's, women's, youth and disability football, as well as running the National League System and FA Competitions including the Emirates FA Cup, Barclays FA Women's Super League, FA Women's Championship, and Women's Adobe FA Cup, and the world-class facilities of Wembley Stadium and St. George's Park, all with a purpose to Unite the Game and Inspire the Nation.

We currently work within a hybrid working model whereby the expectation is to work from your contractual location for part of the week, and as and when required by the team. The remaining days can be worked remotely. We will continue to monitor this model and it may be adjusted in future if deemed necessary.

Your contract with The FA will specify a fixed location of either Wembley Stadium, St. George's Park or our Processing Centre, unless the role is advertised as a homebased contract. The contractual location of this role can be found at the top of this advert on our FA vacancy page.
