Do you want to be part of an ambitious team that is responsible for transforming our culture, having a deep impact on the way 80,000 colleagues feel about working at LBG? Do you want to help drive a step-change in the analytical capabilities of the Culture Innovation team? If this sounds fun and challenging, come join us on our growth journey!
The Culture Innovation team within People & Places actively gathers and analyses data from colleagues via listening activities to understand their experiences, concerns and suggestions. We then produce a range of insight materials for audiences up to Board level that highlights key trends and themes that promote action and support strategic decision making.
Key Accountabilities
  • Transform data into insight, either through executive reporting, ad hoc analysis or deep dives. Provide actionable recommendations to support the continuous improvement of LBG’s culture - someone who brings diverse thinking to Data and is able to connect the dots between multiple data sources to come up with and test bold hypotheses
  • Support delivery of the research and insight strategy, collaborating across platform, technology and data teams. Someone who brings curiosity to everything they do and is connected to external perspectives, helping us redefine what it means to be insight driven
  • Collaborate with business units across the bank to deliver reporting and insight, while also gathering intelligence and knowledge of those business units. A born collaborator, who is proactive and inclusive, and who thinks differently about where we might look for answers

What will you be doing?
  • You’ll work cross-department on all elements of the colleague research and insight strategy including big-picture analysis and the diligent use of both Data and research to create insights
  • You’ll take responsibility for identifying insights and tell a compelling story, combining research insights and other data sources to provide clear actions and strategic recommendations, taking the audience beyond data/information and towards insight and wisdom.
  • You’ll take responsibility for day-to-day management of integrated analytics and research projects, delivering insights or improvements through good end to end project management skills.
  • You’ll take responsibility for analysing colleague listening, feedback and HR data to produce insights for management & executive-level decision-making, including data visualisation.
  • You’ll identify opportunities for process improvements in order to enhance analytical output.
  • You’ll understand, articulate and act on the possibilities of technology and data connection to elevate our Colleague Insights approach, collaborating with internal and external partners to design and deliver a world-class insight ecosystem.
  • You’ll work closely with key external strategic suppliers as an extension of the team to deliver outstanding outcomes.
  • You’ll manage and deliver required outcomes for fulfilling People & Places 'Must Wins', 'Colleague Experiences' and business plans for the Culture Innovation team.
  • You’ll use external research and networks to ensure our solutions are market-leading and fit for the future.
  • You’ll invest in the growth of personal capabilities.

What would make you successful in this role?
  • Previous experience of working in a commercially focused analytical role
  • Ability to manipulate large data sets to provide meaningful insight that will lead the debate on business decisions.
  • Knowledge of how to effectively engage with Senior Management to produce quality insight, analysis and reporting appropriate for leadership review.
  • An inquisitive mindset and a natural curiosity, eager to explore new ideas and contribute to innovative solutions.
  • Collaborative approach, actively engages with stakeholders, contributing to shared goals and successes.

Your background
  • Substantial experience with Excel, including formulas and using multiple data sources
  • Ability to efficiently communicate data related technical concepts to your peers and stakeholders (with or without technical background) and translate these into business insights
  • Storytelling ability to gather relevant Data and combine them together to tell a meaningful story
  • Experience with Data and reporting automation
  • Prior experience with a visualisation tool (i.e. Tableau, Power BI) is beneficial
  • Drive and enthusiasm to deliver at pace and to a high degree of accuracy
