As the Data and Exams Officer, you'll oversee the organization and execution of all school examinations. The Data and Exams Officer will manage all data-related activities within the school, assisting school leaders by offering insights and analysis to drive positive student outcomes.
Data and Exams Officer Responsibilities:
- The Data and Exams Officer is required to comprehend and apply JCQ regulations regarding external examinations.
- Take charge of gathering and documenting student UCI and ULN details upon their admission to the school and handle the registration and "claiming" process with relevant authorities for students.
- Take ownership of compiling fair access returns for students and ensure clear communication with relevant staff regarding students who have chosen to opt out.
- Assume responsibility for registering external examination entries with examination boards, ensuring each student is enrolled for all relevant exams, including those requiring special consideration arrangements. Liaise with SLT regarding any necessary disapplication of student(s).
- The Data and Exams Officer is required to aid in data entry and assessment cycle duties during periods outside of the external examination season.
- Assume accountability for the student Management Information System (MIS), guaranteeing information is regularly updated, accurate, and refreshed. Collaborate with appropriate administrative colleagues to gather this data. Additionally, establish user accounts on SIMS and customize access permissions in accordance with the postholder's responsibilities.
- Coordinate the collation of data for Ofsted and other inspections.
- Prior experience in Data and Exams.
- Previous familiarity with SIMS.
- Capability to uphold professionalism and a positive attitude when interacting with students.
- Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy in managing data.
- Exceptional numeracy and literacy abilities.
