SalaryConsulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM’s current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering almost £200m revenue.
At the heart of Consulting are the six solutions we offer our clients: business transformation, deal services, finance function support, risk and governance, forensic and investigation services, and restructuring. Our solutions create an enhanced tailored approach to support our clients in achieving their strategic goals and empower our people to make an impact and develop their own unique career path.

Partnering with leading global software solution providers RSM’s Consulting Service helps our clients improve business operations, gain efficiencies and insight by using the right cloud-based solutions aligned to business needs.
We help our clients select the right software solution to optimise business processes and gain real-time visibility of their finance, inventory, supply chain, order management, sales and HR. Integrated systems remove silos, providing greater insights to make informed decisions through their Business Transformation.
About the Team
RSM’s Business Consulting team has an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join the eighth largest provider of Audit, Tax and Consulting services to entrepreneurial growth-focused organisations globally.
Our Business Transformation practice currently consists of four teams:
- Operating Model Transformation team supports clients to evaluate, rethink and redesign the way they are structured, their business processes and technology ecosystem to improve efficiency, optimise growth potential and accelerate business performance to drive enhanced value for customers, shareholders and other stakeholders.
The team provide a range of services that enable clients to successfully operationalise their business strategy and future vision, and work closely with many other teams across the Consulting business to drive a holistic, seamless end to end transformation solution.
Specifically, the team focuses on enabling strategic alignment with organisational goals, redesigning workflows and roles, leveraging technology for automation and data-driven decision-making, managing change and fostering cultural shifts, establishing robust governance and performance management frameworks, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation, and optimising value realisation.
Ultimately, these services focus on driving optimal organisational performance, competitive advantage, and scalability to help future proof organisations by aligning operations with strategic objectives and market dynamics.
- People and Change team supports clients to successfully navigate all forms of transformation and challenges related to their most important asset: People. We work alongside clients throughout their transformation journey to understand the challenges impacting culture and performance, to develop solutions to optimise performance and understand the full impact of change, developing robust change management strategies to help clients to achieve their goals and sustainable business benefits.
- Digital Finance team works with clients to understand how their finance functions work, assisting them to articulate what ‘good’ looks like for them and how they can get there. We work with our clients to ensure they have a Finance function that reflects and supports their vision. We believe in designing a Finance function in which people are key, and technology is the enabler.
- Technology team supports clients throughout their digital transformation journey from defining a digital strategy and roadmap, creating a business case, selecting the right software, documenting user stories, to managing and assuring projects.
- Data analytics and Insights team works with clients to help them understand their level of data analytics maturity and to develop a data analytics strategy that will guide them in achieving their desired level of maturity. We work with clients to identify KPIs and metrics they can use to track progress against their strategic objectives and to assess the quality of their data needed for those KPIs and metrics.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Architect to join our Digital and Data Advisory team.
As part of the Digital and Data Advisory team you will be working closely with clients, and it is therefore critical that you can establish trust and credibility quickly to build effective relationships. It goes without saying that you are a team player, have a ‘can do’ attitude and understand that the best solutions come from collaboration and exchange of ideas. We are also looking for the following:
- You will be a problem solver, creative thinker, and self-starter, who is organised, proactive and inquisitive.
- Ideally you will already have been involved in Transformation projects and can demonstrate the value delivered to organisations with which you’ve worked.
- You should be comfortable in managing a team and juggling multiple deadlines.
- You will contribute to client proposals and presentations and our clients will see you as a trusted advisor to work closely with them in identifying, analysing, and solving their business challenges.

Requirements
Essential:
- Experience working in a professional services environment, including scoping, sizing, and pricing client engagements
- Strong academic record: preferably with a relevant or business-focused degree (such as business, data analytics, computer science, or information systems)
- Minimum of 10 years work experience, demonstrating a balance of technical expertise with strong commercial acumen
- A deep understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes and data modelling
- Expertise in database design and development in Azure SQL Server, Azure Data Warehouse, MS SQL Server and be proficient in creating highly flexible Database Architecture
- Proven track record of executing full life cycle data warehouse and business intelligence/analytics implementations (ideally 10+ years’ experience)
- Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server Database Engine (database administration/maintenance), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Azure Data Resources, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Bricks and Azure Analysis Services
- Able to support clients and prospects in their evaluation of Business Intelligence solutions providing information and demonstrations to help them assess fit for their business

- Demonstrate the ability to understand and assess client requirements/issues, consider and analyse the impact and propose solutions to address them
- Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong client relationship management skills
- Proficient in proposal writing and business development

- Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously

- Excellent spoken and written communication, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely
- Strong focus and ability to manage and construct Dimensional Data Warehouses
- Proficiency in creating data models and schemas
- Experience with Power BI for data modelling and creating visualisations
- Enthusiastic and positive demeanour
- Must be a team player, able to work in virtual teams and independently
- Proactive, organised, and self-motivated
- High proficiency in MS Office including, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint

Desirable:
- Experience of working with (or knowledge of or interest in) technology solutions
- Knowledge of Alteryx
- Knowledge of data analysis programming languages e.g. R, Python
- Knowledge of Tableau
