Electrician Monday to Friday - Direct to Customer - Critical Data Centre - Livingston

A rare and fantastic opportunity to work for an established company provider situated in Livingston who are looking to fill a position in a busy data centre. The successful candidate will be electrically or mechanically biased with a wealth of building maintenance experience. He or she will be based in a critical DATA CENTER in Livingston. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary and career progression, and a great benefit package.


Kindly be informed that we are only looking for candidates with SC clearance or eligible for applying SC clearance.


Hours of work:

Days only

08:00 - 17:00 (Monday to Friday)

On call 17.00 - 08:00 - One week in 3.

Key duties & responsibilities:


  • Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance & Reactive maintenance is carried out to all client assets through the operation of the Planned Preventative Maintenance System.
  • Ensure that accurate and comprehensive records are kept about Health & Safety, Building Compliance and Quality Assurance.
  • Ensure that subcontractors perform to meet the requirement of the contract.
  • Administer subcontractor work approvals and safe operation while repair or service is carried out on site.
  • Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain the plant in serviceable order at all times.
  • Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant.
  • Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are completed in the form of job sheets.
  • Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared, reviewed and utilized for all tasks (PPMs and reactive) carried out to ensure safe working practices.
  • To maintain & develop good client relationships.
  • Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate, including the utilization of the shift engineers to ensure the task is suitably completed.
  • Ensure that breakdowns are responded to in a timely fashion and reported accordingly.
  • To ensure the team are suitably skilled and trained, and appropriate training plans are drafted and implemented.
  • Maintain security compliance for site ensuring that security have full visibility.
    Essential.

Certifications:


  • Electrically or mechanically qualified
  • City & Guilds - Level 2 & 3
  • City & Guilds - 17th or 18th Edition
  • A proven track record in Building Maintenance working.
  • Good Communication Skills.
  • Multi-Skilled - Mechanical / Electrical.
  • Knowledge of UPS / Generators / Power Distribution / HVAC / HV LV etc
  • Good Leadership & Management skills
  • Ability to obtain SC Clearance
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills
  • Skills using a PC.

Highly desirable:


  • High Voltage Certified - Current (Highly desirable)
  • Data Centre experience
  • Critical experience
