SalaryData Centre Engineer – 3-week contract - Bristol
My client is looking for a Data Centre Engineer that will be responsible rack and stack of IT equipment within a Data Centre such as Servers, Networking equipment and cables.
The Data Centre Engineer would also be responsible for unpacking the delivered kit – you are required to rack and stack as well an ensure that everything is tagged, and the cables are labelled and sorted out in a neat fashion.
The Data Centre Engineer will be required to work onsite 5 days a week in Bristol Central.
Data Centre Engineer Requirements
- Previous experience of working within an Installation/Data centre Engineer role
- Experience working in a Data Centre – rack, stack and cabling of “infrastructure” equipment such as Servers, networking equipment, cables and any other IT equipment.
- Asset tagging and labelling – kit, cables and servers.
- Strong EUC (End User Compute) background
- Exposure to Windows Server and VMWare would be beneficial.
- Excellent time managing and attention to details skills.
- Excellent Diagnostic and resolution skills
This Data Centre Engineer will be required to work onsite 5 days a week in Bristol.
