(Learning & Development Specialist to support colleagues in Consumer Lending build their data skills and capabilities)

Hours: Full Time
Salary: £42,120 - 46,800 + excellent rewards package
Working Pattern: Minimum two days per week or 40% of working hours in office/hub.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Culture Specialist (Learning & Development Specialist) to join our team and be responsible for promoting Data Culture and literacy across Consumer Lending, ensuring that all colleagues have the necessary skills, knowledge, and capabilities to work with data and technology efficiently and effectively.
The Consumer Lending Data Office is a group of creative, innovative, and motivated individuals, leading the way in embedding a data-led culture. In this role you will:
- Develop, support, and implement a comprehensive data literacy strategy and program to enhance colleagues' data and tech skills and knowledge, including engagement, communications and measuring success.
- Facilitate workshops and upskilling sessions on data literacy to all levels of colleagues, from beginners to advanced users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-related opportunities and challenges and work to develop solutions to address.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in data and tech, recommending new strategies and tools to support our colleagues.
- Measure our success in enhancing the capability of all our colleagues in support of future career journeys and our transformation agenda.
About you …
We are building a multi-skilled team and as such looking for a hybrid of essential skills across the following disciplines:
- Enthusiastic about colleague development
- Experience in driving cultural change and developing and delivering learning programmes
- Strong knowledge of data literacy principles and practices
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Data Governance, Data Management, Data Analytics principles, and tools
- Proven stakeholder management skills and delivery experience in a high-profile environment
- The ability to prioritise tasks and manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and achieve goals
- Strong data analytics skills with a good understanding and knowledge of Excel and Power BI to manipulate and story tell with data dashboards
