A Data Engineer is needed at an established company in Nottingham as it continues a period of growth and expansion.

The individual will come in at the start of an exciting project and will have the ability to really make their mark on it. 

This position is to develop and the firm’s Central Data Platform. The candidate will have the skills needed to develop solutions using on-premise Microsoft BI and cloud-based Azure technologies and will have a proven experience in applying best practices for delivering business critical BI and reporting services.

The firm is committed to a very large programme of change which includes the replacement of the firms case management solution. The role presents an exciting opportunity to support a new approach in a rapidly changing market as well as keeping it up to date with continuous improvement.

What does the role actually involve?

• Design and develop data pipelines and data solutions on the Azure platform.
• Build and maintain data warehousing solutions on Azure.
• Develop and maintain data integration solutions between on-premises and cloud systems.
• Work with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and develop solutions to meet their needs.

Technical Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Engineering and data warehousing.
• Strong experience with Azure services.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience with programming languages such as Python & SQL.
• Knowledge of Medallion Architecture
• Working with source control, especially GIT or TFS
• Working as part of an agile development team (SCRUM)
