Job Description:
As a Data Manager within the Better Data Programme, you'll spearhead data management efforts, focusing on implementing new data management and governance practices (DataOps). Situated in the Data Strategy Team within the Corporate Services Directorate, your role entails understanding and implementing practices essential for the new data hub, CRM, and reporting tools. You'll assess the current state, establish the target state for DataOps at Go-Live, develop a roadmap for future DataOps Practice, and implement these practices across the business. Championing the strategic importance of high-quality data in decision-making, you'll oversee a governance framework ensuring data integrity, privacy, and compliance across new systems and business processes.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in data management, preferably in implementing DataOps practices.
- Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and privacy regulations.
- Excellent project management skills, capable of developing and implementing strategic roadmaps.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing data management processes and policies.
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- Certification in Data Management or related field.
- Experience working with CRM systems and data hubs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills for conducting workshops and training sessions.
Responsibilities:

- Implement DataOps Practice across the business, readying it for Business As Usual handover.
- Advocate for the strategic importance of high-quality data in decision-making and service enhancements.
- Oversee a governance framework ensuring data integrity, privacy, and compliance.
- Collaborate with programme, service, and business teams to design and implement data management processes aligned with new tools and systems.
- Design and implement processes and policies for the management of master data and data lifecycle management.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to elevate data literacy and foster a data-driven culture.
