JOB TITLE: Data Privacy & Records Management, Senior Manager
SALARY: £80,206 - £94,360
LOCATIONS: Edinburgh, Bristol or Leeds
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) a week in our Edinburgh, Bristol or Leeds office site

We're looking for an experienced data leader to help our business to modernise to deliver great and innovative solutions to customers. You’ll play a crucial role in fostering a data-driven culture across IP&I whilst driving and supporting the delivery of high quality data initiatives. You’ll be drawing upon your technical expertise, being open minded and leverage the opportunities the cloud provides!
Here’s where you’ll make the difference:
  • You’ll lead a team of experienced Data Privacy and Records Management experts ensuring alignment to our Group and Regulatory policy standards.
  • Providing expertise on Data Protection Regulations and Privacy in Electronic Communications Regulations to our Business Areas and Platform teams, whilst managing the PRIA process and approvals.
  • You’ll have a strong risk management, governance and compliance focus providing early engagement to enable Data by Design. In addition to interpreting complex regulation to help find solutions for the Business and Platform teams.
  • Collaboratively working with colleagues and senior leaders from different areas across IP&I and Group in order to understand and provide value and insight for our customers. You’ll be representing IP&I and ensuring alignment to both IP&I and Group policies.
  • Understand the Business and able to communicate complex messaging to senior management, especially visually and through “telling the story” in a compelling way.

What you’ll need
  • Hands-on proven experience in Data Privacy & Records Management, managing Data risk or providing input into the management of Data risk within projects.
  • Must hold a suitable Data Privacy qualification to Practitioner level.
  • Have an active interest in new and emerging tools and technologies and an awareness of industry trends and best practice in the Data Privacy space.
  • Data or Technical background and knowledge of data engineering, analytics, and Cloud (GCP ideally) technologies.
  • Experience of leading, driving and presenting at Governance Forums and Committees.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and story-telling skills.
  • Project planning / change management experience.
  • Previous experience of leading high performing teams.
