Data Project Manager - £600-£650 per day - Inside IR35 - Primarily Remote - 6 month initial contract on an 18 month programme.
My client, a major renewable energy company, specialising in wind power, solar power, and battery storage technology. is looking for a Project Manager with experience in data capability, standards, processes and tooling.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale Data Projects, with a focus on driving transformational change within the organizations data landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and drive the delivery of data capability, standards, processes, and tooling to the business.
- Lead a discovery exercise to capture information about the current data landscape and future requirements.
- Deliver a future state design and roadmap, executing plans to achieve the new target state.
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to project delivery methodology, including standards and governance.
- Build and lead a collaborative project delivery team, engaging technical, business resources, and third parties.
- Manage engagements with vendors and stakeholders to ensure effective solution design and implementation.
- Provide consistent project updates to various audiences, reporting on progress, risks, and issues.
- Ensure project artefacts are complete, up-to-date, and correctly stored.
- Track and report on project budget, costs, schedule, risks, and issues.
- Manage transition to production and acceptance into service as part of project delivery.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years experience managing large-scale Data Projects.
- Experience delivering Data Warehouse solutions on Azure cloud-based platforms (e.g., Snowflake).
- Experience implementing data standards and governance in a greenfield environment.
- Proven track record managing full project lifecycle from mobilization to acceptance into service.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Familiarity with formal project management governance.
