We are actively seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Data Scientist to become an integral part of our growing Data Science and Analytics team within the Asset Management Insight team, situated in the Asset Strategy and Capital Delivery Department. As a pivotal member of our closely-knit team, you will not only contribute to the expansion of our data science capabilities, but also drive innovation by actively engaging in and pursuing diverse projects, around the directorate, related to asset management.
Your role is crucial in harnessing the power of data to advance our asset management strategies, ensuring the optimisation of processes, for achieving out important performance commitments for customers and the environment, and strengthening overall efficiency at Affinity Water. Collaborating seamlessly with a small team of skilled data analysts and scientists, you will be at the forefront of leveraging data-driven solutions to address challenges in the water sector.

Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis:
- Analyse complex asset datasets, revealing trends and patterns for informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and create data-driven solutions.
Model Development:
- Develop and deploy predictive models for asset health maturity and optimisation.
- Contribute to the automation of data processing to enhance efficiency.

Technical Skills:
- Proficient understanding of data science CRISP-DM process.
- Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Or equivalent experience in relevant field.
- Proven experience in data analysis and model development.
- Previous work with water-related datasets is a plus.
