This full-time post is available immediately on a fixed-term basis, funded from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund as part of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Good Growth Programme until 31 March 2025. The role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus, at local company offices, and occasionally from home. Summary of the role The post is based in the Exeter Innovation division and will work closely with colleagues in the Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy, include the Business School. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the University of Exeter and partners Konnect for Business in a major project, with investment from the Shared Prosperity Fund in Cornwall, centred around supporting organisations to better understand and reduce their environmental impact. Building on the reknowned Climate expertise from the University of Exeter, the aim of the role is to lead on the Data and Information related to clients CO2 emissions. We are seeking a Data Technician who will: Focus on the accuracy and relevancy of data collected Manage and collate this data to ensure it can be interpreted in a number of different ways, dependent on stakeolder requirements Key responsibilities include: the development/improvement of emissions data collection templates; ensuring data obtained is realistic and accurate, development of estimatation methods where appropriate; collation and summation of collated data in a practical and understandable way.
