Debt Collector

Job Description:

We are looking for a temporary Debt Collector to join our team for a 6-month period, with the potential for the contract to be extended after that initial period.  The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills.  You will be responsible for contacting customers who have outstanding debts and agreeing payment plans.

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (35 hour working week).  Based in Guildford, free onsite parking available. 

Responsibilities:

• Contacting customers by phone and email
• Negotiating payment plans with customers
• Liaising with other departments internally to resolve queries
• Updating customer records
• Manipulating data on spreadsheets

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Good IT skills including familiarity with spreadsheets
• Previous experience in debt collection is preferred but not essential
