Debt Recovery Manager

• Salary Guide: £35,000 - £40,000 with a £5,000 bonus
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm with a 5pm finish on a Friday

Becoming part of an accomplished finance company, you’ll be the first member of their newly established Debt Recovery team and will be brought on board as Debt Recovery Manager to grow the team and play a key role in managing the Debt Recovery process from business customers. Suited to a B2B Collections Manager or Debt Recovery Specialist, you’ll need to have an in-depth understanding of the recovery process and be confident in implementing new processes that enhance collection effectiveness.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Take ownership of Debt Recovery for the company, taking cases from initiation through to resolution
• Manage the loan portfolio and analyse financial information to assess risks and recovery options
• Curate Debt Recovery strategies and processes that positively impact Debt Recovery
• Collaborate with legal to ensure all activity complies with relevant laws and regulations and support with correspondence
• Handle administration tasks, ensuring all information is accurate and all records are updated with relevant documentation
• Establish strong working relationships with business customers, offering your support and professionally dealing with objections and queries
• Grow the Debt Recovery team and perform team management tasks, which includes conducting reviews, acting as a mentor, and maximising team performance

The successful candidate:

• Previous experience gained as a Collections Manager within a B2B role or as a Debt Recovery Paralegal
• Possesses a good understanding of the Debt Recovery process and legalities surrounding it
• Commercially and analytically minded individual who enjoys achieving targets and using data to drive decisions and strategies
• Demonstrates previous management experience and is skilled in leading high-performing teams
