SalaryDecontamination Technician
Wild Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Temporary Decontamination Technician, located in Colchester and Ipswich. This role is based in a health and social care environment for the NHS. The role is a temporary position which will be ongoing.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
- To assist in providing a specialised decontamination of medical devices services contributing to the clinical care of the patient.
- To carry out the receipt, disassemble, cleaning, reassemble, packing and sterilisation of reusable medical devices.
- Sort and identify instruments using relevant documentation.
- Record all tasks in the Healthcare Science Information Systems (tracking and tracing) database.
- Work in accordance with the Departments Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Management Systems.
Requirements of this role:
- Previous experience as a Decontamination Technician or in a similar role with transferable skills.
- Knowledge of the role to be able to provide advice and training to Trainee Decontamination Technicians effectively.
- To be responsible for complying with Trust and local Safeguarding policies and procedures.
This role is ideal for an individual who has the ability to work as part of the team and to be able to work accurately and carefully under pressure.
Pay Rate:
- Standard Rate - 15.20 per hour
- Saturday Rate - 21.75 per hour
- Sunday Rate - 28.18 per hour
Shifts:
- 5 days out of the 7
- Weekends included
