Roke is a leading technology and engineering company with clients spanning National Security, Defence and Industry 4.0 through our Futures business and Intelligence-as-a-Service. You’ll be joining our National Security Business Unit, where you will be part of the teams who help our customers identify, prioritise and mitigate network weaknesses, protect assets, and build a security culture. We are naturally curious engineers with expertise in operating systems (OS), networking and network protocols, low-level implementation details, reverse engineering, security research and forensics.
The Key Requirements...
- Our apprenticeship partner, MK:U, requires students to have at least 96 UCAS points (three Cs at A level/T level core pass C) or an equivalent academic or professional qualification. Other relevant or prior experience may be considered as an alternative.
- A keen interest in one of the following domains (beneficial but not essential)
- Computer systems, programming and applications
- Communications networks and network protocols
- Low-level development in C or assembler
- Security analysis
- Systems security
- Reverse engineering
- Proactive and an effective communicator
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team Curious and looking to find thebest solution for the problem

Alongside hybrid and flexible working options, you’ll find our Romsey site located within beautiful Hampshire countryside, close to the picturesque New Forest District and not far from a superb stretch of the south coast. This is no corporate concrete jungle; this is a manor house site, with ample parking an on-site gym and a driveway full of daffodils in the spring.

Clearances…
Due to the nature of this position, we require you to be eligible to achieve BPSS, SC and DV clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen, have resided in the UK for the last 5 years for SC and 10 years for DV and prepared to declare any travel that includes being out of the UK for more than 28 days in the last 5 years.
